Organic electrosynthesis needs a boost! It has been around for a long time with contributions from Faraday (1834) and Kolbe (1848) but has never been fully accepted and used by synthetic organic chemists. The Ammonite cells could provide this boost! Usable with routine microflow equipment and a cheap power supply, it can carry out syntheses with both high selectivity and high conversion as well as delivering product at a rate of multigrams per hour.
